The Success Formula
Have you ever looked at someone else in your industry or perhaps another industry and wondered to yourself how they became so successful, why they seem to be on top of the world or maybe just why their fees are 10 times what yours are?
I believe there are answers in something I call The Success Formula.
Success = 2CT
A simple formula, once expanded, this will give you a clear understanding of what potentially separates you from where you would like to be.
Let’s alter the formula to Success = (C+C) x T
Now you need to understand the variables:
Success = (Clarity + Commitment) x Time
What does this mean? Success comes from Clarity of vision and purpose as well as Commitment of one’s self and resources, and that this is expressed in effort given over a period of Time.
Let’s look at these components.
Clarity. How clear are you as to what business you are in, what your value is, what your services are, who your clients are, where your clients exist and why you are in business in the first place?
Commitment. How committed are you to your vision? How much of yourself are you willing to give? How bold are you willing to be? How much passion have you directed at your business?
And, Time. How long have you actually been working at the business with Clarity and Commitment? Have you heard of someone being a 25 year overnight sensation? There is truth in that statement. You must have the ongoing Clarity and the steadily increasing Commitment to your vision and it must be implemented with effort over a period of time.
Doesn’t this make sense? Successful people you know probably appear very clear and committed to what they are doing. And, that clarity and commitment are obvious to others looking at them.
My work in creating strategies for success and world-class performance has uncovered one dominant factor. Mindset. To have the Clarity and Commitment that you need and the perseverance to implement you need to have the right mindset or your results will be weak, untargeted and disappointing.
Work on your mindset. Create Clarity and Commitment. And, spend Time doing it.
